Due to a char from the Town Hall of Eibar, estudio k has carried out the redaction of the project of the swimming pool’s changing room’s rehabilitation work in Ipurua’s sport center.
The uncovered pool was built in 1989, according to the project of Francisco Javier Arguinzoniz and Xabier Martin architects in 1988.
The building that includes the dressing rooms has 3 floors; a cellar, where pool´s technical rooms are; a ground floor, in the same level of the pool, that includes the dressing rooms, toilets, hall, checkroom and a zone destined to a bar, with any use now; and an useful roof. In this floor, used as a solarium, there is currently a precast module destined to a bar.
The aim of the project is the changing room’s rehabilitation in the ground floor, in order to upgrade the installations, the furniture and materials adapting to the current normative. The built area of the ground floor is 357,84m2, and the useful area 289,22m2.
In conclusion, there have been done the following modifications:
–Adaptation of the access and toilets inside the pool to people with reduced mobility.
–Heating installation room’s renovation.
–Hydraulic installation’s renovation.
–Electric installation’s renovation.
-Putting up new partition walls in large size bricks.
-Change of surface materials.
