The proposed land model for the General Plan of Astillero is based on the protection of the rare natural environment of the municipality, aiming to slow down land occupation, considering land as a limited and valuable resource, and modifying the trend in the municipality towards unwise settlement models. That’s why; we commit to take account of the potential of urbanized and built heritage.
In relation to the development of economic activities, the main target would be integration of economic activities and services in the city, generating a mixed fabric of activities for greater richness of urban life.
Taking advantage of empty locations or those occupies by obsolete activities in a suitable situation is also proposed to provide new areas of activity that contribute to the implementation of facilities and services to balance out the negative effects with regards the excessive monotony of housing neighbourhoods.
